- Why rent a car?
- What's the best rental car company for me?
- How do I choose my rental car?

How do I choose my rental car?
Select a car based on what you need. For example, if it's just you, then you might choose a smaller more compact car than you would if you had your entire family traveling with you. Here are some examples of car category types available.
Ford Focus or similar
Compact Car
As the name suggests, Compact Cars tend to run on the small side. Great for work trips when you are by yourself, or for a couples getaway when you don't have to worry about trying to fit all the luggage and the kids in the back.
- Seats: Up to 5
- Luggage: Up to 2
Toyota Corolla or similar
Intermediate Car
Also known as Midsize, Intermediate cars are slightly bigger than Compacts and slightly smaller than Standard. Great for when you need a little more room than a Compact can offer.
- Seats: Up to 5
- Luggage: Up to 3
Volkswagon Jetta or similar
Standard Car
These cars tend to be larger and more comfortable for longer trips. Plenty of room in the back for the kids.
- Seats: Up to 5
- Luggage: Up to 3
Chevrolet Malibu or similar
Fullsize Car
These cars are larger, four-door passenger vehicles that seat up to five passengers. They feature plenty of space for luggage, more leg room, and space. These cars are a great choice for long trips with friends or family.
- Seats: Up to 5
- Luggage: Up to 4
There are many more categories to choose from, including fun ones like Luxury Cars, Hybrids, even Cargo Vans. Research and find out which one is right for you.
