Have you been dreaming about a trip to Mexico or the Caribbean? I know I have, especially given the global events of late. But despite the fact my name is Penny, I’m not actually made of money, so I’m looking into options that offer the best bang for my buck, which can be found at an all-inclusive resort. But what exactly does that include? Great question!
Refreshing beverages with no bar tab is one of the biggest draws to an all-inclusive resort.
Beverages
Let’s start with one of the biggest draws to an all-inclusive resort, adult beverages. Whether you enjoy a Pilsner, Pinot or Petron, a variety of beer, wine and spirits await. Each resort typically has a “signature” drink worth trying at least once. If non-alcoholic is more your speed, most bartenders have a recipe ready to try that is free of spirits but high in flavor, just ask!

In addition to beverages, food is also included in all-inclusive resorts. Restaurants vary in the different resorts, from delicious Mexican, rich French, fun and tasty Caribbean, tangy Italian and of course the all-you-care-to-eat buffet. Most all-inclusive resorts also feature in-room dining, in case you don’t feel like leaving your room. Please note that due to COVID not all restaurants may be open, but more and more are reopening every day. It’s important to research the restaurants in your all-inclusive resort prior to booking to ensure you have the culinary experience you are looking for.

If you don’t feel like being active you can score a lounge chair at the pool and soak up the sun, or find a perfect spot on the beach for some people watching. That’s the beauty of the all-inclusive resort, you can do as little or as much as you please.
