Save When You Bundle!
Did you know you can save when you bundle a hotel with a flight to over 2,000 cities in the United States and Canada? Introducing Costco Travel’s Hotel + Flight program. It’s not just for big vacations anymore, now you can get everyday Costco value on shopping trips to “the big city” or a quick weekend excursion to visit grandma.
Here is a (very!) small sample of the cities we now have available.
Times Square... a great place for a selfie!
New York, New York
Famously known as “The Big Apple”, New York City has a lot to offer. If you want to experience the hustle and bustle of the city, you won’t want to miss the lights, sights and sounds of Times Square. If you are looking for an oasis in the midst of the urban jungle, then Central Park, with its lakes, trails and large stretches of greenery is just the place to be. The best of the best in high-end shopping can be found on Fifth Avenue. And don’t forget to take in a Broadway show while you are in the big city.
San Diego, California
San Diego, California
San Diego’s signature attraction is the 70 miles of simply amazing beaches. From San Onofre Beach up north to Imperial Beach near Chula Vista in the south, there is a beach experience for everyone. In addition to the beach is the waterfront… a splendid one-mile walk from Seaport Village to Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel on S Embarcadero. The San Diego Zoo is a must-do for anyone with kids, or for those who are kids-at-heart.

Cloud Gate in Chicago
Chicago, Illinois
Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, Chicago boasts a number of fun, touristy things to do. If you are looking for Chicago-style pizza, Pequod’s is amongst the very best. You might have to wait a little, but the cast-iron baked deep-dish delicacies are well worth it in my opinion! For a great walk in Chicago, you can start at Millennium Park, to take in the famous Cloud Gate sculpture, also affectionately known as “The Bean”. A 15-minute walk brings you past Buckingham Fountain into Grant Park, located right on the water. It links directly into the Museum Campus, where you can meet Sue, the resident T-rex (skeleton, that is!) at the Field Museum. If you want to take in something a little more lively, the Shedd Aquarium is a mere two-minute walk away.
Beavertail Lighthouse & Museum in nearby Jamestown.
Newport, Rhode Island
Surrounded on three sides by water, Newport is a boater’s paradise. Newport features activities for everyone, including charter boats, foodie tours, wineries and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The natural beauty of Newport should not be missed. The enchanting Cliff Walk is 3.5 miles of beautiful coastline – with its ocean views, spray from the nearby waves and sea breeze this is a must-do. The Castle Hill Lighthouse, built in 1898, is not open to the public, but its beauty can be experienced from the open grounds of the neighboring hotel. If museums are your thing (I love a good museum!), then don’t miss the Beavertail Lighthouse & Museum, the third-oldest lighthouse in North America, in nearby Jamestown.

Canada Place, Port of Vancouver Cruise Terminal
Vancouver, B.C.
Grab your passport because we are headed north of the border! Vancouver B.C. is one of my family's favorite places to play. There’s a lot to do here, so let’s start on Robson Street. We are into Asian food and culture, and Robson Street hosts a lot of ethnic food, with my favorites… Ramen and Sushi. If you are looking for a little snack, like an onigiri (Japanese rice ball) or spam musubi, the Konbiniya Japan Centre has you covered! Keep walking on Robson and you will find high-end shopping and even more restaurants. Turn left on Burrard Street and keep walking until you see Canada Place, where you can walk around the seawall and watch the cruise ships. If you like walking (like I do!) then don’t forget Stanley Park, Vancouver’s largest urban park. With miles (and miles!) of walking trails and attractions such as the Vancouver Aquarium, you might want to plan to spend at least an entire day at the park.
The above is just a small sample of the new destinations we now offer. From coast to coast in both the United States and Canada, Costco Travel has you covered!
