Environmentally Friendly
As part of The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to net-zero emissions by 2030, the Disney Wish will continue Disney Cruise Line’s fleet-wide initiatives to reduce waste and conserve resources. For instance, in all food and beverage locations on the ship, washable dinnerware is offered to guests instead of single-use plastic utensils, and biodegradable straws are used instead of plastic ones. However, in the engine room, the Disney Wish uses less fuel through a complex system that repurposes heat from the engines that will warm the super-cooled Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) that powers the ship (FYI: These engines provide an exceptionally quieter cruising experience for guests). As a positive consequence for using LNG, the cold energy produced by these tanks is recycled into the ship’s energy efficient air-conditioning systems, reducing the amount of electricity needed to keep the ship’s interior cool. All told, these new technologies are expected to save the Disney Wish 700 tons of fuel per year. And one of the more impactful environmental practices aboard the Disney Wish will save approximately 7.5 million gallons of fresh water each year: Recycling naturally occurring condensation from the onboard air-conditioning units and using the resulting moisture for onboard laundry facilities and for cleaning the outer decks of the ships. However, drinking water is provided at meals and at Water Stations (which encourages the use of refillable water bottles) aboard the Disney Wish.

This richly themed, immersive experience is reserved exclusively for adults every evening, and the drinks are just as epic as the Star Wars saga itself!

Environmentally Friendly
As part of The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to net-zero emissions by 2030, the Disney Wish will continue Disney Cruise Line’s fleet-wide initiatives to reduce waste and conserve resources. For instance, in all food and beverage locations on the ship, washable dinnerware is offered to guests instead of single-use plastic utensils, and biodegradable straws are used instead of plastic ones. However, in the engine room, the Disney Wish uses less fuel through a complex system that repurposes heat from the engines that will warm the super-cooled Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) that powers the ship (FYI: These engines provide an exceptionally quieter cruising experience for guests). As a positive consequence for using LNG, the cold energy produced by these tanks is recycled into the ship’s energy efficient air-conditioning systems, reducing the amount of electricity needed to keep the ship’s interior cool. All told, these new technologies are expected to save the Disney Wish 700 tons of fuel per year. And one of the more impactful environmental practices aboard the Disney Wish will save approximately 7.5 million gallons of fresh water each year: Recycling naturally occurring condensation from the onboard air-conditioning units and using the resulting moisture for onboard laundry facilities and for cleaning the outer decks of the ships. However, drinking water is provided at meals and at Water Stations (which encourages the use of refillable water bottles) aboard the Disney Wish.
From babies, to parents, to grandparents, to those with disabilities, the Disney Wish is the apex of accommodating and anticipating guest needs. This ship has it all, and then some!
