Disneyland Park in Southern California has introduced Bayou Country, a newly reimagined land (replacing the former Critter Country) which brings the magic of New Orleans to life. At its heart is the exciting new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, alongside delicious cuisine at the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and charming merchandise at Louis’ Critter Club. This expansion celebrates the vibrant spirit of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film “The Princess and the Frog” animated feature by offering guests a genuinely immersive experience.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure invites guests on a thrilling journey with Princess Tiana. Set after the events shown in Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog,” the attraction’s story follows Tiana, Louis the Alligator, and Naveen as they prepare for a grand Mardi Gras party at Tiana’s Palace. Guests are whisked through the magical bayou, encountering colorful characters, animatronics and lush scenery.

My favorite part about this attraction is the ride’s soundtrack, which is infused with the jazz and zydeco rhythms of New Orleans and it accentuates your time aboard Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Stunning visuals, lighting effects, and cascading waterfalls create an unforgettable experience as guests witness Tiana’s perseverance and joy in uniting her community through food and friendship.
A special feature of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is its interactive queue, where guests can explore Tiana’s passion for cooking and her journey as a business owner. It’s an educational and fun way to connect with her story before boarding the ride.
