Everyone has to eat, and one of my favorite reasons to travel is getting to experience the fabulous food that can be found at fabulous resorts. While I haven’t been everywhere yet, I did take the opportunity to ask our Costco Travel Buyers which hotels or resorts they would recommend for culinary delights, and they delivered!

Ocean views. Tomahawk steaks. There is a lot to like at Velas 10 Seafood & Grill at Grand Velas Los Cabos - Opens a dialog . Start the meal off right with the grilled Chocolata clams or a tasty beet salad (or both). For the main course, they offer premium seafood, like Sea of Cortes Octopus (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it), and hearty cuts of meat such as rib eye, New York steak and of course, the giant Tomahawk. Seven in Seven Stars Resort & Spa - Opens a dialog in Turks & Caicos is a fantastic option where you can enjoy island spices and international flavors. Inside the restaurant is a venue called The Tasting Room, which is a 2,500-bottle wine cellar. Anywhere from two to 10 guests can enjoy this intimate dining space. They offer a five-course menu paired with sommelier-selected wines. The sommelier on staff here, Mia Martensson, is a legend. She used to be the head sommelier aboard The World (Residences at Sea) for many years, and has so many fantastic stories to share. Mia really knows her craft.

At Nobu, dining is always an occasion to remember. Start with the Bahamian Lobster Salad with Spicy Lemon Dressing, then move on the Wagyu Dumplings and Local Conch with Light Garlic. As usual, sushi and sashimi at Nobu are both traditional and innovative. If you go with sushi, don’t forget to add on some crunchy tempura or maybe a bowl of delicious miso soup.

Olives by Todd English has something for every palate. The menu offers a lot of really delicious sharing options, such as flat breads, roasted heritage beets and truffle risotto. Here you are going to want to save some room for dessert, with Nutella cheesecake or warm cookies n’ cream to share. Order dessert to go if you have to.

The Turtle Bay Resort - Opens a dialog features a restaurant called Beach House by Roy Yamaguchi that offers both prix xixe menus and à la carte menus. The prix fixe is very reasonably priced and includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert. There is even a vegan prix fixe menu! The ala carte menu has an assortment of food to choose from, including some fun items such as the “Not So Teri-Roll” and our personal favorite Crispy 50th State Chicken. Best of all, Beach House by Roy Yamamguchi sources most of the fish they use from local Hawaiian fishing fleets, so the seafood is very fresh and very Hawaiian.
