As we navigate through these difficult times, I remember this quote from everyone’s friend, Mr. Fred Rogers: “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” With this in mind, we are highlighting some of the ways our suppliers are making a difference.

Every evening, the lights of The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas are lowered to reveal the message of LOVE in the windows, providing a beacon of hope to those around the world who are sharing their love as they make personal sacrifices to fight this virus, especially first responders and the medical community.
To return the love, The Venetian is committed to helping in many ways. Las Vegas Sands, their parent company, has donated more than two million surgical masks and 20,000 protective suits to help health-care professionals, first responders, and nonprofit organizations in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to individual food, water, and hygiene kit donations to organizations around the community, Las Vegas Sands donated a total of $250,000 to jumpstart the community response of local organizations. “In difficult times, we can only control what we can. But, whenever possible, we can always choose love.”

Napili Kai in Maui and The Laylow in Waikiki are proud to participate in the “Hotels for Heroes” program. The program has provided nearly 1,000 room nights for local medical professionals and first responders. The vast majority of rooms that have been allocated thus far have gone to doctors, nurses, and other frontline medical professionals. Local police and fire departments, as well as EMS have also started to request rooms with more frequency.
